When convict watchmaker (and manager of Sydney's first theatre in 1796) John Sparrow finished serving his sentence, he returned to England in 1807.
The Sydney Gazette listed his belongings and house in Gloucester Street for sale: 'bedsteads, feather beds, dining, card and tea tables, mahogany chairs, a bureau, mirrors, pictures, goblets, tumblers and wine glasses.'
