Choir Rocks

The Rocks ChoirBuilding connections through group singing

Choir Rocks is open to residents and workers in The Rocks, Millers Point and the CBD. The choir meets every Monday evening at the historic Merchant's House, 43 George Street where the group enjoy the high ceiling acoustics of the majestic first floor drawing room!

Choir Rocks work on a broad range of repertoire - songs from around the world, lullabies, contemporary pop/rock music and madrigals through to a four part arrangement of the Bee Gees' Tragedy.

The sessions are relaxed, great fun and run from 6pm to 7.30pm. You don't have to be 'able to sing' to join in. This is a non-audition choir where the only requirement is enthusiasm and the desire to make some noise!

Choir Rocks is:

  • making singing accessible
  • connecting people
  • a great vocal workout
  • the best way to spend a Monday night

History
Choir Rocks kicked off in October 2010. Over their first year they have performed at The Rocks Australia Day Festival of the Voice, The Rocks  Aroma Coffee Festival and sang at two charity concerts with other Sydney a capella choirs.

The choir is open to new participants - please come and join us.
