Aroma

Indulge in the most wondrous sensory experience at the 11th annual Rocks Aroma Festival – for lovers of coffee, fine chocolate, tea and spice. The Festival will be held on Sunday 6 July at The Rocks, Sydney.

Close to 100,000 people enjoyed the Festival last year which included for the first time chocolate, tea and spices – an extension of Aroma’s original, popular coffee program. The Festival also includes a Domestic Coffee Machine Expo, Lifestyle Forecourt with free cooking demonstrations, Turkish Spice Bazaar and all-day live entertainment.

The Rocks Aroma Festival features the smallest of roasters next to bigger coffee houses, all offering their roasts and blends to the public for just $1 per cup. Enjoy comparing the different roasts as you wander through Sydney’s heritage quarter.

Visitors with a penchant for sweet treats should head straight to the Chocolatier’s Boulevard at West Circular Quay. A vast array of delicious goodies will be on offer, including fine chocolate, handmade gourmet fudge, nougat and cupcakes.

Tea lovers can entice their palates with a wide selection of black, green and exotic teas at the Teas of the World stalls.

Discover the latest in cooking with coffee, chocolate and chilli at the Overseas Passenger Terminal Lifestyle Forecourt then dip into the Spice Bazaar to pick up fresh spices.

The Rocks was home to Australia’s first coffee, chocolate and spice traders. The Bushells Tea warehouse at The Rocks, erected in 1925, was the first purpose built tea production store in the country. The Andronicus brothers established Australia's first chocolate shop and coffee roasting business in 1904, roasting 90kg of coffee every day from their store at George Street, The Rocks.

The Rocks Aroma Festival is presented by Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority.
