CAMPBELL’S COVE CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Campbells Cove Construction

Work continues on the Campbell’s Cove upgrade, expected to be finished by the end of 2018.

Construction is underway on the main promenade and Port Authority turning circle.

There is no public access through the Campbell’s Cove worksite. Pedestrians will be directed to use Hickson Road for the remainder of the promenade works, which are expected to be completed November 2018.

Access to the Park Hyatt and Overseas Passenger Terminal will be via Hickson Road. An accessible access route will be via the Museum of Contemporary Art, George Street and Hickson Road.

WORKS BEGIN ON THE ROCKS CENTRE LIFT

Rocks Centre Lift

Construction of a new lift and glass atrium has commenced at The Rocks Centre, with completion expected in December.

As part of this construction project, the glass entry atrium from Playfair Street into the ground floor and Level 1 of The Rocks Centre will be demolished. A new glass atrium with a lift will be built along with a new bridge link.

There will be no entry into The Rocks Centre from Playfair Street during construction.

  • Works will generally occur between 7am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
  • No noisy works will be carried out between 12pm and 2pm daily.
  • All deliveries will be made to the worksite before 10am to avoid peak pedestrian times.

Hoarding will be installed around the construction site and will remain in place for the duration of the project.

  • Fencing will be installed to create an additional storage area south of the hoarding Monday through Thursday.
  • The fencing will be removed Friday - Sunday to allow room for market stalls over the weekend.

GOOD HOUSEKEEPING TIPS FOR WASTE COLLECTION

Oscar The Grouch

We can all play a part in keeping The Rocks clean and beautiful.

Keep your business tidy with these helpful tips:

  • All bins must be in working order with lids and wheels free of cracks or holes.
  • Bins must not be overfilled – lids should be able to close.
  • All bins must be labelled, with labels available from Customer Relationship Management Service (CRMS).
  • No bags of rubbish should be left next to bins. Not only might this attract vermin, it is also considered to be illegal dumping and may attract an ‘on the spot’ fine.
  • Once emptied, all bins should be brought in at the earliest convenience (such as when the first member of staff commences work).

PROMOTING THE ROCKS TO EVENT AND CONFERENCE ORGANISERS

Hios The Rocks

Place Management takes event managers on a tour of The Rocks, highlighting its many incredible attractions.

The Rocks’ Partnerships team and our in-house heritage expert Wayne Johnson recently hosted a number of event managers from Arinex (Architects of Inspiring Experiences) on a guided tour to highlight The Rocks exceptional offering as an event location.

On the tour, Property NSW highlighted several locations and treated Arinex representatives to some fantastic hospitality from our tenants. It was a successful evening with lots of ideas for bespoke events.

We plan to repeat this model in the future for similar groups of event organisers and brand activation agencies. We greatly appreciate our retailers support of these efforts so if you’re interested in being involved and highlighting your business, please contact Kylie Doulman - Senior Manager Retail Activation kylie.doulman@property.nsw.gov.au.
