Visit the museum these July school holidays and celebrate the local Aboriginal history and heritage and while learning about this year's NAIDOC theme - Voice. Treaty. Truth. Let's work together
Children can enjoy a craft workshop that involves making a badge featuring the Aboriginal flag or creating their own cardboard boomerang while they listen and sharing stories. They can then wander through the poster exhibition on the top floor of the museum: The History of NAIDOC WEEK from 1972 - present. For the more energetic, join an Aboriginal guide and explore The Rocks and learn about the local Aboriginal Culture, identity and history.
