Eva Cassis is a Sydney based ethical fashion label with a ‘slow and humble’ philosophy.
Eva Cassis launched her namesake label in 2012, with a desire to create sustainable, considered and timeless garments and jewellery. She wanted to separate her label from the fast fashion market and throwaway consumer culture she feels is threatening our world today.
Passionate about designing things she wants to wear herself, her focus is on quality craftsmanship and a minimalist design aesthetic—producing creations that women fall in love with for their luxury, reliability and uncomplicated beauty.
Eva designs and develops each Eva Cassis creation in her Sydney studio, and they are produced locally by her or by expert makers that she has worked with for many years.
Each design is made from the highest quality, ethically sourced materials and luxury natural fibres, from luxurious linens to GOTS certified cotton and recycled timber, recycled glass bottles and vegetable tanned leather in her jewellery range.
All too aware of the wastage, pollution and social injustices rife in the fashion industry, Eva’s mission is to tick all the boxes for sustainability in design. Her Marrickville studio effectively implements systems that ensure that there is minimum waste with the aim of leaving a marginal environmental footprint by up-cycling, reusing offcuts and collaborating with other ethical creatives wherever possible.
All Eva Cassis employees and collaborators are fairly paid and fairly treated in accordance with global ethical standards. Eva is a strong advocate for the Fashion Revolution Campaign, encouraging full transparency of processes, and she has an open studio policy, which welcomes customers into her workspace to see where the magic happens.
Above all, the Eva Cassis label is fighting the good fight for a fashion world that is kinder to the earth and its people.
