Karyn Driscoll is one of Australia’s most engaging and prolific artists. Her colourful, contemporary style has led to many successful solo exhibitions in London and Sydney and her works are purchased by collectors worldwide.
Karyn’s abundant artistic talent was on display early on, when she won sand castle and sculpture competitions at the tender age of five during a wet summer holiday in the UK. She attended art school in London, obtaining her BA (hons) degree at Newcastle Upon Tyne University, followed by a MA in design some years later.
Later, she explored the unique qualities of timber in the furniture industry, before pursuing a less forgiving medium, glass. She spent 10 years working as a product designer, responsible for producing new innovative designs for the furniture and glass industry. She has created innovative glass designs for corporate entities such as Johnny Walker, Virgin, Bombay Sapphire and Gordon’s Gin.
For the past 20 years, Karyn has been settled in Sydney. Her company, Ronnie Arts, is a 100% Australian owned and operated business that is proud to provide customers with contemporary artworks and designs. You can find Ronnie Arts at The Rocks Markets most weekends.
