Studio KaKa was started by Sydney artist Vickie Liu as a way to share her art with others. Vickie has fond childhood memories of countless hours spent drawing and creating, and was inspired to name her art store after her childhood Chinese nickname, KaKa.
“Selling my artworks has always been a dream of mine but has sat in the back of my mind until I recently took the plunge and set my sights on producing beautiful artwork that inspires and brings joy,” says Vickie.
“I love art and design. My background in architecture and design has taught me to open my eyes and seek inspiration from unlikely places. I hope to capture all these wonderful moments and share my love of everything weird and beautiful with you.”
Vickie paints in watercolour and acrylics from her home studio in Sydney. She also loves to paint outdoors and while travelling overseas. The results are gorgeous, colourful acrylic paintings and watercolour illustrations whose subject matter ranges from native botanicals to the wacky and whimsical.
