Celebrating this year’s Naidoc theme ‘Because Of Her We Can’, Nukung Yapung - ‘Her Path’ brings together artworks by Aboriginal Artist, Saretta Fielding. Her work uses a highly textured sand medium which reflects the traditional sandstone engraved sites found upon her traditional lands, the country of the Wanaruah nation of the Hunter Valley.
The artworks share stories and culture that are close to her heart as a mother, aunt and sister, conveying how she has been influenced by people, life experience and nature’s beauty.
Join Saretta in the Museum for Artist Talks on Monday 16 July and Wednesday 18 July from 10am – 12.30pm. Bookings are required.
