From delicious eats and sun soaked market stalls, to bars nestled amongst sandstone courtyards where you can enjoy a cold drink with friends - The Rocks is the ideal inner-city destination to celebrate Summer and the warmer weather.

The Dock Yard

The highlight for this summer is The Dock Yard by The Doss House, a pop-up bar nestled within a hidden sandstone courtyard officially opening on Friday 3 January. Experience The Dock Yard from 4pm each Thursday to Sunday until 9 February, and feel the spirit of The Rocks early years, with a nod to its maritime heritage.

Guests will find a collection of weathered ropes, iron lanterns, lobster cages and cocktails to match. A limited menu will be available, but guests are sure to find cocktail favourites such as an Old Fashioned or Aperol Spritz, as well as delicious toasties and sharing platters from The Doss House.

Celebrate Australia Day at The Rocks

George Street in The Rocks is the place to head this Australia Day to celebrate with friends and family. The Rocks Markets will have extended opening hours for the day, stretching down George Street which will be humming with energy from the surrounding giant games, chill out zones, DJs, live entertainment and a pop-up bar.

The Rocks Markets

Make the most of the longer days, and visit The Rocks Markets open every Friday 10am to 3pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Grab a bite from one of the many deliciously different food vendors to fuel your exploration of the carefully curated artisanal wares, from fashion to handcrafted jewellery and unique homewares. Friends and families can enjoy live acoustic acts while pulling up a chair in The Rocks Square.
