Cupán Caife, meaning "cup of coffee" in Irish, brings a touch of the Emerald Isle to The Rocks. Established in 2021 by Niamh Mc Aree and Gary McPeake, this charming cafe nestled within Frank Mac's on George Street offers a haven for those seeking a taste of Irish tradition with a modern twist.

Fueled by a shared love for Irish baked goods, Niamh and Gary have created a menu that celebrates the flavors of Ireland. Whether you're stopping by for a hearty breakfast or a delicious lunch, Cupán Caife provides a warm and inviting atmosphere where you can savor authentic Irish fare alongside modern culinary delights.

What you can expect...

Homemade Scones: Soft, crumbly, and wholesome – perfect with a cup of tea or coffee.

Traditional Guinness Breads: homage to Ireland’s iconic stout, these hearty loaves are infused with rich flavours.

Boiled Eggs and Toast Soldiers: A comforting classic that transports you back to childhood memories. Soft-boiled eggs served with slim, toasted bread strips (“soldiers”) for dipping. It’s a wholesome breakfast that warms the heart.

Handcrafted Toasted Sandwiches: A delicious collection of toasted sandwiches, from a classic cheese and ham toasted sandwich to a sophisticated Cajun chicken on sourdough 

Seafood Platter: Dive into the ocean’s bounty with an Irish seafood platter: Silky slices of smoked salmon, served with capers and lemon. Prawn Cocktail: Succulent prawns nestled in a tangy cocktail sauce served on our traditional homemade wheaten brown bread.
