FoodLab have worked with the University of Sydney, the City of Sydney and many others to help launch over 30 food businesses in the Sydney region. Their team live and breathe food and community.
Each week, FoodLab will be showcasing a new food business from the program - from Zimbabwean cuisine to seasonal small batch preserves and everything in between.
Come down to The Rocks Markets on Saturday and Sundays to support local, diverse entrepreuners in the Sydney food scene.

Sangee’s Kitchen offers an authentic Malaysian street food featuring a unique blend of spices with fresh flavours. The menu presents the traditional food of the founder’s Malaysian-Indian culture and cuisine, centred on chicken, lamb, seafood and vegetables. Sangee cooks recipes passed down to her from her father using natural cooking methods and with her home in mind.

Alick Matewa is a chef from Zimbabwe and the founder of African Food Feasts, passionate about cooking contemporary and traditional African cuisine from across the continent. Alick’s aim is to bring awareness of African food to Australians through, weekend markets, catering, monthly popups, and hosting African themed dinners and lunches around Sydney venues.
