Enjoy a free family-friendly adventure through the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia with fun activities and treasures along the way. Visit the Waterside Room on the ground floor to pick up an 'Arty-Farty' map created by the MCA Kids Committee and use it to go on a journey through the Museum. Then, drop into Family Space: Draw Home for a hands-on making activity. You can also return to the Waterside Room to join a free all-day creative workshop. All ages are welcome.

Helpful hints

First time to the MCA?

  • Prams and front/rear baby carriers are welcome throughout the MCA.
  • The Parents' Room is on Level 2 and includes changing facilities, a microwave and accessible bathrooms.
  • Change tables are on the Ground Floor, Level 2 and Level 3.
  • Breast, bottle, chest, and syringe feeding is welcome in our programs and throughout the MCA.
  • A children's menu is available at the MCA Cafe on Level 4.
