Celebrate NAIDOC Week 2025 with a free family activity at The Rocks Discovery Museum.

This school holidays, join us at The Rocks Discovery Museum for a fun, creative, and meaningful way to celebrate NAIDOC Week 2025. Our free badge making workshops invite kids to get hands on with craft while learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and the significance of NAIDOC Week.

Following this year’s theme, "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy," children will explore the inspiring stories, symbols, and resilience of First Nations peoples through interactive activities guided by our friendly museum educators.

Participants will make their own Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flag badges while learning about the meaning behind each flag and its importance to First Nations identity and heritage. It’s a fun and engaging way for young people to connect with Australia’s oldest continuing cultures.

This family friendly “crafternoon” is perfect for children aged 5–12. No bookings are required, just drop in between 11am and 1pm and join the fun.

Celebrate NAIDOC Week with us and inspire the next generation through creativity, culture, and community.
