What was it like to be a child convict? Discover the story of Elizabeth Hayward, the youngest female convict to join the colony of Sydney.

Visit The Rocks Discovery Museum these school holidays and learn about the life of child convicts. You'll hear about their daily routines and see some of the artefacts used. You will also learn about the life of the Gadigal people and their contact with the first European settlers.

What to expect:

  • A short tour through the museum, exploring some of the artefacts used
  • Story time in the museum attic
  • Treasure hunt activity
  • Plant a seed to take home

Suitable for 5-12 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

20 children per session. Register at museum reception. No bookings required.
