About Mule Coffee Roasters

Mule Coffee Roasters was born from a deep love for coffee and the belief that every cup has a story worth telling — from the hands that grow it to the hearts that drink it.

Their founders, Cesar Vela and Nicolas Tobon, originally from Colombia and now roasting in Sydney, bring with them a rich heritage and a firsthand understanding of what it takes to produce exceptional coffee — and the power of fair pay to positively impact farming communities.

Their Motto
From the farm to your cup — with purpose.
Honest and real coffee. Pure awesomeness.

They’re here to connect people through coffee — from the farmers and fair practices to the planet and the drinkers. It’s about enjoying a cup full of flavour and stories, shared meaningfully, respectfully, and with intention.

What They Do
They are specialty coffee roasters who carefully source beans from trusted producers that share their commitment to  quality, sustainability, and transparency.

Every batch is meticulously roasted to showcase the unique character of each coffee — its origin, process, and story.

Fair Pay, Always
They believe coffee should be both delicious and fair. That’s why they're committed to paying well above commodity prices and building long-term relationships with producers — not just suppliers, but true partners.

For them, fairness isn’t a trend — it’s the foundation of social sustainability, and it leads to better
coffee for everyone.
