Children’s Workshop Tent – National Indigenous Art Fair 2025

Let little hands and big imaginations run wild at the Children’s Workshop Tent—a fun, creative, and culturally enriching space just for kids as part of the National Indigenous Art Fair 2025.
Over two exciting days, kids can explore and engage with First Nations culture through a variety of hands-on workshops led by Indigenous artists and dancers.

On Saturday 5 July, kids can take part in a children’s cultural dance workshop, get crafty in a shellwork workshop, and connect with nature an interactive plant workshop, discovering the uses and stories behind native plants.

On Sunday 6 July, activities continue with Brolga Dance Academy's ochre painting. Children can also learn to create a  painted gumnut desert ornament with Maruku Arts, and take part in a unique possum skin workshop,

All workshops are free, family-friendly and designed for children aged from 5-12, with guidance and support from cultural educators throughout.

The tent opens at 11.30am on Saturday 5 July and 10.30am on Sunday 6 July. No bookings are required, just drop in and join the fun.
