Culture is Life by Wayne Quilliam
Enriched polymodal creations interwoven with tranquil hues of earth and sky intuitively ebbs throughout Aboriginal artist Wayne Quilliam’s latest work Culture is Life.
In tune with the NAIDOC theme of ‘Heal Country’, Wayne's haunting figurations translate dreamstate spiritual symbology into conscious connection.
"This work represents a state of flux, a time of alienation, separation and unnoticed noise”, Quilliam said “These futuristic compositions are tranquil in nature but deliberate in exploring the alarming tragedy we face as a modern society. The noise is deafening as the ancestors speak, they are telling us to ‘Heal Country’”.
